Cherry Hill
Rather then tell you that my morning was the same just assume it was unless I tell you different. I mixed and sprayed the weeds and then sprayed the fruit trees, no not with the same stuff. The mowed the grass. I met the girls, (always Jess, Indie, Alicia, Mad and Chloe unless I tell you different, sometimes we get but not too often!) and we went to Cherry Hill, fun place, but on the way I passed Rodger and then he called me just as I was pulling in and his scooter broke down and he needed help, so I didn't get the time swimming in that I would have liked to. Met Kev and went to Alicia's house to paint. LKev came home after awhile and then Alicia had a wonderful dinner for us. After dinner Kev and LKev went back to work and we left about 8:00. It is great with Kev getting home at 3:30 now, it seems that we can get a ton more done at night. Anyway we came home and did a little in our yard and came in and got ready for bed. I'm sure that the TV is wondering what is going on, it even gets turned on any more, which is OK by me, there is nothing on with every thing being off for the summer and I hate to channel surf, now Kev on the other hand, that is how he watches TV! Except for Nascar that is! Well that was about it, big day, but nothing too exciting. Jack out!

Wonderful Day!
I wanted to mention a cartoon yesterday and forgot. I have kicked myself for not cutting it out and framing it, because I say it everyday! It said "I wish I could get down to what I use to say I would never get up to!", that is pretty much how I feel most of the time.
Anyway yesterday was a good day, the usual morning and then some shopping with Alicia and the girls. I had to get some more beads before we leave Sunday for our vacation. I wanted to get some swim toys for the trailer, so when the kids come up they can have toys for the pools. Then we both went home and I started trying to get ready for our vacation. I called Scott Carrigan because we didn't like the way the paint was drying and then Kev and I went over and met him at Alicia's. He told us everything that we have to over again and somethings that we did wrong. He was very nice to help us because things were not looking good for us novice painter. Anyway a ton of work ahead. When we got home Kev helped me tint my hair and then he cut the back and I cut the front and I afraid that I got a little carried away! SHORT! Talked to Lyd for a minute, she said that her boss left his dogs in the back of a pickup shell and they both died the day before. It has really hunted me to think how long that took. Terrible! I didn't see Jess today, they had Kim (her mother-in-law) stay to dinner after her "Indieday" she calls it instead of Wednesday and then they just hung out. Well that was my day, I never said that it was going to be fascinating, just My Life!
I did get all the food ordered for the party on Saturday, we are having a party for Kev's Mom and Dad's 60th wedding anniversary. I have everything in order and if no one messes up with things that we can't control, things will be wonderful! I hope! Well I'd better get going another big day today. Jack out

More History!
If you know me at all I make a mean batch of chocolate chip cookies, there for I have a weight (or height, needing to be about 6'6"!) problem. Not that I can blame it on just that, I can cook pretty dang good and love all kinds of food. Seafood diet was what I have been on most of my life, if I see food I eat it! As a child I was always a little chubby (bigger boned, my mom would tell me!) and bigger then the other kids. They would call me fat Jack and I still remember the time that I was at a girls house and she offered me something that looked like candy because she knew that I would eat it and it turned out to be a soap puff. Then there was the time that my 6th grade teacher told me that "we both need to loss a little weight"! If that would have ever happened to one of my kids I would have killed someone, but that was the old days when they didn't worry about self esteem like they do now. I broke a chair once and remember mom telling Uncle John as he was fixing it, that if I did it again she was going to put me on a diet of lettuce and water. Nothing against Mom, I'm sure that she was just embarrassed to have to ask someone to help her do something. There is more but I won't bore you with the details. Somewhere along the way I became obsessed with food. Sad to say that was all I could think of. Kev and I got married when I weighting 165 and him 155, he has always weighted less then me. I remember going to a party after we got married and playing truth or dare and they dared us to exchange clothes, well I knew that there was no way I was going to fit into his clothes, pretty embarrassing! Anyway, after a year I had gained 40 pounds. Kev made a referance to a beached whale! So I joined a gym and did pretty good and then quite going and gained more wieght and got pregnant with Alicia weighting 215. Though I only gained about 25 pounds (you gain less when you are huge to begin with) I gained about 10 pounds before getting pregnant with Jess, and while she weighted in at 11 pounds, (Alicia at 9.3) I was up to 235 when I got pregnant with Lyd (9.6) giving birth at 265. I still remember that she came so fast and unexpected at the end that they screamed down the hall "get down here, we need help moving her to the gurney". One lady came by after I had Jess and kept looking in to my room, finally I asked her if I could help her and she said she just had to see me because Jess was soo big she wanted to see how big I was! I'm sure that I an just overly sensitive about anything that is said, but I wonder sometimes if people know what they say can be so hurtful! The topper was when my dad was on his death bed he said that he needed to talk to me and preceded to tell me that I was overweight and needed to get some help! (Of all the things that he could have told me?) Well in 1989 weighting in at almost 300 pounds I went in for a gastric bypass and lost 125 pounds. When they tell you that it is not a cure all, believe them! It wasn't. It was just so much fun to eat something and not have people stare at you because you shouldn't be eating it, that I eat myself right back up to 268! Over the last couple of years I have lost over 50 pounds and still work on it everyday! And yes I now weight less then Kev!!! It did help that he has put on some weight though! It is the biggest challenge of my life!! I will be having words with the big guy up stairs about how if someone is an alcoholic they don't have to drink and they won't be one or a drugy doesn't have to take drugs and he isn't a drugy. But us that are foodaholics still have to eat!!!!! I feel very strongly about this subject, but will save that for another day!
Well this suppose to be a journal of sorts, so I will tell you about yesterday. My usual is getting up scriptures, prayers, getting ready and then breakfast. Then eat while I "work" on the computer. I have to read the blogs, check my e-mails, check and download the bank activities for the day before and then work with pictures or whatever else there is to do. So after that yesterday I called Jess and Alicia and said that I would bring my bike over and we hooked Chloe's new half bike to the back of mine. (It is a little bike that hooks on to an adult one, that has handle bars and one wheel and peddles so they can help pump.) Alicia was on the single bike for about 1/2 mile and then she got on mine with Chloe behind. Jess had Indie and Maddie in the cart behind hers. We rode over to Walmart and Alicia and the girls had lunch while Jess and I got some stuff, cuz we had already ate and then we rode to Aunt Sally's house for a visit. Then home to each of our houses to meet at Cherry Hill (swimming park that we gave the kids passes to for Christmas) for a swim. At the last minute I asked Alicia if we could take the kids and she could sleep because she and LKev were up till 2:30 the night before painting. (We had left at 11:00 we are too old for that 2:30 stuff) So we meet Jess and co. there and swam for awhile then stopped by Joan's to give her a BD present, she wasn't home, so I left it with Ashley. Then home and then to Alicia's to paint. We only made it till about 9:00, but it is coming along. Well that was about it. I'm glad that I'm doing this, I haven't told anyone yet, I just like the fact that now I will be able to look back and remember what I have done! Jack out

Hi
Like I said I am 53 and can't remember what I did last week and so boring or no here I go! I'll tell you a little about me and then go on from there. I have been married to a wonderful man for 34 years. We meet when I was 16 and a Junior at Davis High School. We had gone to school with each other for a year but never really knew each other. Mainly because he was about 5'2" and I was 5'10", (but now 5'9" and shrinking still I swear)! He came into "King's Drive-in" where I worked and ordered a coke and I asked him if he was Kevin Rigby's big brother? He told me he was Kevin Rigby! He had grown about a foot since he got out of school. He was 19 and just got out of boot camp for the air force reserves. It was love at first sight, well for me anyway. We dated for about 2 1/2 years, until I talked him into marring me! Any how, we have 3 beautiful daughters, Alicia Lynne, married Kevin Roy Hatch (yes another Kevin and his dad's name is Kevin also!) in 2001, just three days after the planes took down the World Trade Centers in New York. They have two beautiful daughters, Chloe Lynne who is 5 and Madison Belle who will turn 3 in July. First I have to tell you that I came from an all girl family and as you will see only had girls, but yes, at the end of July, Alicia will be having a "Man Child"!! Oh yes we are very excited, don't get me wrong, my girls are wonderful! They have hunted, gut and skinned deer, wormed their own hooks and all been very good marksmen, every since they can remember! But we are very excited about having a boy in the family, not to take anything away from the two men we got by marriage to our daughters, they are wonderful and we couldn't ask for better! Anyway Alicia and LKev just bought a new home in Layton and just about have the basement done and then they we will move on to the landscaping. LKev sales cars with his family and Alicia is lucky enough to be a stay at home Mom with her girls, not to say she doesn't work and I mean work hard, to take care of those two! They are a wonderful little family and we couldn't be more proud! Then there is Jessica Marie, married to Tony Smith in 2003. They have a beautiful daughter named Indie Marie who is 15 months, she is a doll baby and a joy in all of our lives! Jessica and Tony bought a home that had been totally gutted and redone in Layton, and it is wonderful. The two brothers that redid it, did a great job. Indie's room couldn't be cuter. Jess works 3 days a week, while Tony takes care of the baby 2 of the days and I do mean takes care of, you have never seen a Dad like him and his Mother comes out 1 day a week. Tony is working full time at Lakeview Hospital in their radiology dept. and just graduated from collage and waiting to interview for P.A. school in the fall. They also are a wonderful little family and we couldn't be more proud of them either! Then their Lydia Mae, she is the baby of the family and lives in Salt Lake, anyway if she isn't traveling all over the world with her job. She has been to China twice now, Germany, New York, Denver, Washington, and AZ. just to name a few. She is a warehouse manager for a Company out of SLC called Crystal Tones. She has done a little school, but really doesn't know what she wants to do at this point in her life. She is a wonderful and we are proud of her also! Well there is a little about my family and you will be hearing a lot more about them because they are "MY LIFE"! I'm very, very, blessed!!! I've got to get going! This is a picture of us, but Chloe and Madison are missing. Jack out!
